Tips for Tournament Registration:

  • Start communicating about registration EARLY. Do not wait until your deadline.  The more time people have to take care of registration requirements, the better.
  • ONLINE is BEST! Through the online rostering system organizers can view the status of each team and player including information such as: membership statuses, waiver statuses, rostered chaperones & coaches, and you can even download the event roster.
  • Communicate the chaperone requirement if minors are participating in the event.  Chaperone background checks can take several business days to process. This process needs to be started at least 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline.  Minors will NOT be permitted to participate without an approved chaperone.
  • For events where day of rosters are accepted (Recreational), encourage teams to email the roster in before the event.  If they do opt to bring it to the event, the roster needs to be typed (handwritten rosters are not allowed).
  • Send regular registration reminders to teams that have not started their roster.

Tips for Development & League Event Registration:

  • Rosters: All participants must be listed on a roster, including pickup players. Initial rosters must be submitted within a week after the start date.
  • Online Rosters: For Team based Leagues & Development events rosters can be entered online through the USA Ultimate online rostering system.
  • You may submit an excel, google doc, or Ultimate Central file as your event roster.
  • Waivers: All participants are required to have a current waiver before they are allowed to play. Players can sign a digital waiver from their account - this is the easiest and most convenient method.
  • Memberships: All participants must have a current membership or pay for a one-time event membership. Event organizers are financially responsible for all missing memberships.
