   College Rankings  right arrows

1987 saw the inception of the UPA College Rankings.  Developed by Sholom Simon, the rankings utilized a computer algorithm based loosely on a formula borrowed from the U.S Chess Federation.  The rankings were run 10 times during the season, with the final rankings computed May 30, 1987 and printed in the June 1987 UPA Newsletter.

Below are the final rankings for the 1987 season run after the College Championships.
