Innovation Grant Program
Since 1997, USA Ultimate has been funding projects that promote growth in Ultimate and Ultimate Spirit, create links between USA Ultimate and local organizers, serve members' needs and inspire others to further innovation and excellence. The goal of this program is to stimulate the development of innovative ideas for ways to develop the sport or implement new solutions to challenges facing the Ultimate community. Examples may include but are not limited to work with experimental rules, developing green initiatives, working with underserved populations, providing educational opportunities, etc. Projects must take place within the U.S. For questions about funding international projects, contact WFDF. New Start Ultimate Program
USA Ultimate assists hundreds of players in getting involved with Ultimate each year. The New Start Program provides resources and materials to assist with the start-up of new Ultimate programs, teams and leagues. Applicants may only take advantage of the New Start Program once per program. Applicants must reside in the United States. Because of the great demand for resources, not all requests can be filled.
Administrators have the option of selecting from the following kits:
- Youth, College or Club Team Development
- Youth or Adult League Start-Up
- Community Center Program (i.e. could include YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Recreation Centers, etc)
- Intramural Start-up
- Custom kit based on needs
