USA Ultimate is excited to announce our 2016 Camp Director Jason Brask!
JBrask 2 22 16

Camp Director Jason Brask began playing ultimate in 1989. "It was a time of transition as I learned to throw a backhand with a Whamo and a forehand with an Ultrastar," he says. Brask played for D.U.F. at Florida State, graduating in 1993, several years in Arizona before jumping to Colorado in 1997. He joined a fledgling Johnny Bravo squad who continue to make national final and semifinal appearances today. "[From Bravo,] I learned a considerable amount about how the sport should be played from teammates and opponents."

Retiring from Bravo in 2005, Brask has continued to play and support ultimate on many levels. He to has coached the Broomfield HS team with Thrasher since 1999.

"I continue to look forward to expanding the sport bringing younger generations into the fold."

ClaireChastain Camps

Denver Camp Counselor Claire Chastain started playing ultimate eight years ago as a freshman at University of North Carolina-Wilmington. It was the most frustrating and challenging thing she had ever done, which hooked her on to the sport. Five seasons later, she played her last college game at regionals and was awarded the Callahan (USA Ultimate college ultimate MVP award) a few weeks later. Chastain was selected to play on the U23 National Team to compete in the World Championships in 2013 in Toronto, Canada. Shortly after Worlds, she relocated to Colorado and has played with Molly Brown (an elite women's club team in Denver, Colorado) since 2014. Chastain is traveling to London this summer with the United States Women's National Team to compete at the World Ultimate and Guts Championships and take the field with women she has looked up to for years. Chastain has coaches the University of Colorado-Boulder women's ultimate team, Kali for two years and has led them to 5th place at the DI College Championship tournament in 2015. They qualified for the upcoming championships in 2016.

Denver Camp Counselor Will Lohre is from Golden, Colorado and went to high school at Jefferson County Open School. He has played ultimate for seven years and is currently playing for the 2015 DI College Championships team runner-up Oregon Ego of the University of Oregon. Ben loves ultimate because it is a great team game and a fun way to spend countless hours outside.
